Summer is upon us; we know you are now sitting on the other side of the planet, thinking about what to do with it.
We are getting ready to cook under yet another blazing summer, Norway is slowly warming to its most physiologically benign temperature - plants know it, birds and bees know it, even people will, eventually, know it. The fjord is a weird and marvellous place. It is hot on the eye but cold on the skin. It echoes all waves, of sea and of sound. It is bubbling with the life that had been put on hold during winter. There’s light above and below the waterline. Norway is unique in many ways. Our spirit was shaped by the wild nature of the fjords and our remoteness has kept us a hidden gem.
Every night after dinner we gather in the living room to learn more about the history of Union Øye—a place where adventures, Kings, queens, and lovers have been savoring the good life for generations.
